WhatsApp integration
WhatsApp bookings with an AI assistant
Customers message your business number, and the assistant checks availability in Librent, quotes a price for their dates and records the booking. You approve it, and the customer gets a confirmation on WhatsApp.
WhatsApp buzzes all day
The same questions every hour
Is it free on Saturday, how much for three days, when do you close. You type replies instead of serving people at the counter.
Messages after hours
Most enquiries come in the evening and at weekends. A reply on Monday morning is often too late.
The booking stays in the chat
What you agreed in the chat has to be copied into the calendar. Miss one message and the equipment goes to someone else.
What the assistant does on WhatsApp
Quote and book in the chat
The assistant finds equipment, prices it for the given dates and asks the customer to confirm. The booking lands in Librent as pending, and when you approve or cancel it, the customer gets a message.
Recognises regular customers
The phone number is matched against your client database. Regulars don't give their details twice and can ask about their bookings.
Replies in the customer's language
The assistant answers in the language the customer wrote in, whether it's a tourist from Germany or a regular from down the street.
Hand-off to a person
When a customer wants to talk to staff, the assistant goes quiet in that chat and you get an email. You reply from your phone and switch the assistant back on in the dashboard.

Frequently asked questions
How do I connect WhatsApp?
The organization owner scans a QR code from Librent settings with the phone that runs the business WhatsApp, the same way as WhatsApp Web. You don't need a developer account or the WhatsApp Business API.
Does the assistant confirm bookings on its own?
No. A WhatsApp booking waits for your approval in Librent, like a booking from the page. The customer gets a message when you confirm or cancel it.
Can I turn AI replies off?
Yes, with one switch in settings. You can also give the assistant your own instructions, e.g. about deposits or pickup times. You can read the conversations in the Librent dashboard.
Does the customer know they are talking to AI?
Yes. The first reply says that an AI assistant is answering and includes a privacy notice.
